NobHill (MGM Grand) – One of a rather shockingly large number of Michael Mina joints in Vegas, and in its time a real standard-setter: classic upscale San Francisco fare in a classy, pricey setting full of beautifully overdesigned fixtures and slickly professional staff. The food here is undeniably good, and though it may irk to pay three times what (for example) a cioppino should cost, one could do a lot worse in this town. The wine list is inventive and only moderately larcenous. (2003)
