The Woodstock Inn (The Dining Room) – A beautiful location in a beautiful, traditional inn, with better food than most people probably expect. It’s not cheap by any means, and one pays an unquestioned premium for the setting, but the ratio of boasting to quality is better at this restaurant than almost any other in the area, save Mangowood. Among a fairly straightforward wine list are a few quality selections that the savvy will be able to ferret out, but in any case this isn’t food that supports broadly complex wines. (2004)
